Conducting HIV Drug Resistance Surveillance in Malawi

Overview

Adapting a generic protocol developed by CDC to the Malawi context, EGPAF oversees survey implementation and data collection and analysis to deliver a cumulative HIV drug resistance (DR) dataset that will describe detected HIV DR patterns and viral suppression in the target population and capacity building for conducting HIV DR surveys. Malawi will be one of the first countries to adapt CDC’s protocol for use in implementing both the pediatric and adult components.
