Proceeds to Aid the Fight to Eliminate Pediatric AIDS in Côte d’Ivoire

October 2, 2012, CÔTE D’IVOIRE—The Fondation Ariel Glaser pour la Lutte contre le SIDA Pédiatrique (Fondation Ariel Glaser), a local non-governmental organization (NGO) and a leader in the fight against pediatric AIDS. has graciously accepted a donation of 400,000 FCFA from the Salve Regina choir of the parish “Notre Dame de l’Incarnation” of Riviera Palmeraie.

The Salve Regina choir organized a fundraising concert on August 15, 2012, and donated a portion of the proceeds to Fondation Ariel Glaser at a handover ceremony on September 24 at the Fondation Ariel Glaser office located in Cocody.

At the handover event, Mrs. Wilson Soukpa Angelique, a member of the Executive Council of Fondation Ariel Glaser, represented Mr. Nicolas Djibo, President of the Executive Council, and expressed her gratitude to the members of the choir for their commitment to save the lives of children infected by HIV. “If you donate to prevent children from being infected, the prevention of HIV begins with you,” said Mrs. Wilson as she commended the choir. “As a choir, you have chosen to do good, and to serve God and men. This will never be removed from you.”

Pr Ette-Akré Evelyne, godmother of the choir, said she is honored and proud to work for children infected by HIV. “The choice to serve the Lord is a choice which we do not have to regret,” she said, before giving thanks to God and showing her appreciation to all the entire parish community for its support for the fundraising ceremony.
