The Emmys got a dose of poignancy Monday night when the team behind HBO’s “The Normal Heart” took to the stage to accept the award for best made for television movie...

...After thanking Roberts and Ruffalo for helping get the passion project finally made, Murphy provided a call to arms.

“We’re going to use the rest of our time to ask young people watching to become Larry Kramers, to find a cause that you believe in, that you will fight for and that you will die for,” he said. “Go online, look up AMFAR, look up the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.”
