Our Goal:
The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation challenges itself and the global community to reach the goal of decreasing new global pediatric HIV infections by one-half between 2009 and 2013, preventing nearly a million infections in children.
The Foundation, together with its partners, will work to reach 15 million pregnant women with prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) services in many of the world’s most vulnerable countries between 2009 and 2013. |

Twenty years ago,
Elizabeth Glaser realized there was a moment to act. A moment to change attitudes, demand action, and give a voice to parents and children living with HIV and AIDS.
The movement Elizabeth inspired brought about the creation of medicines that are as effective as a vaccine in preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV. Yet, each day 1,000 newborns worldwide are infected with HIV because their mothers don’t have access to the medicines they need.
This is a new moment for action. We can end this global tragedy.
It’s time to finish the work Elizabeth started. Join the Moment! Together, we can create a generation free of HIV.
