By Johanna Harvey | January 14, 2014

On Tuesday, Christian Pitter, M.D., senior director of technical policy and advocacy at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF), spoke with Voice of America (VOA) about the pediatric HIV epidemic and what EGPAF is doing help close the treatment gap for children and adolescents living with HIV.

“It’s very important for us to recognize the incredible achievements we have gotten in the last handful of years on pediatric HIV, in terms of prevention. We’ve seen dramatic decreases in number of newly infected children … however, children who are infected with HIV are not getting the care and treatment they need,” said Pitter during his interview.
