Buying something on Amazon?  Now you can support the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) while you shop!

Last week, Amazon.com launched AmazonSmile, a new online platform that allows shoppers to make small donations (0.5 percent of eligible purchases*) to U.S. charities of the user’s choice—including EGPAF. By using AmazonSmile (in place of regular www.amazon.com) you can help us reach more mothers and babies with our lifesaving care and treatment services.  This is truly a gift that keeps on giving!

It’s simple to sign-up. Visit http://smile.amazon.com  to login or create an Amazon.com account. Next, you will be prompted to select or search for a charity.  Click here to select EGPAF. You only have to link your account one time and all of your future eligible AmazonSmile purchases will benefit EGPAF.

And every penny counts—for less than U.S $1 a day, a mother with HIV can receive care and treatment to help keep her baby free from the virus.  Please be sure to encourage your friends, families, and social networks to join AmazonSmile and make EGPAF their charity of choice. And be sure to replace your Amazon bookmark and mobile phone app with the new Smile.Amazon.com link as well. Happy shopping!

Jayme Aronberg is EGPAF’s Coordinator for Strategic Partnerships, based in Washington, D.C.

*The AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5 percent of the purchase price from your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to your selected beneficiary. The purchase price is the amount paid for the item minus any rebates and excluding shipping & handling, gift-wrapping fees, taxes, or service charges.
