This June, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation’s (EGPAF) sister organization, the Ariel Glaser Pediatric AIDS HealthCare Initiative (AGPAHI) completed a comprehensive HIV testing campaign in the Kahama District of Tanzania. From June 15—24, more than 2,200 people in seven wards were tested for HIV, including 158 pregnant women and 64 children. Of the 198 people who tested positive, more than 85 percent have been successfully enrolled in HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs.
