Foundation and Jewelers for Children Celebrate Partnership for an HIV-Free Generation

By Jill Ryan | June 6, 2012

Sunday, June 3rd, was a special day for the Foundation.

Not only did we celebrate our annual A Time For Heroes Celebrity Picnic in Los Angeles, but we also joined our friends Jewelers for Children (JFC) at the 14th annual Facets of Hope dinner in Las Vegas, Nevada.

JFC is a charitable organization comprised of businesses and individuals in the jewelry and watch industries that have shown a deep commitment to children.

Each year, the Facets of Hope dinner honors the charitable work done by the jewelry industry in support of organizations helping children everywhere.

This year, JFC committed $500,000 to the Foundation – which will support our global implementation work and help thousands of children, mothers, and families facing HIV/AIDS.

JFC has contributed more than $8.1 million to the Foundation’s efforts to eliminate pediatric HIV/AIDS worldwide since 1999 – the same year the Foundation first brought programs to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV to Africa.

Thanks to Jewelers for Children for their tireless efforts on behalf of mothers and children around the world.

Their commitment will help us ensure that no child has to be born with HIV, and no child has to die of AIDS.
