This week on Capitol Hill Congress unveiled its final spending package for fiscal year 2015. That package rejected proposed cuts to global HIV/AIDS funding, increasing the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) by $300 million and funding the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria at requested levels.

Friends of the Global Fight celebrated 10 years of leadership in HIV/AIDS advocacy in the United States at an anniversary gala this week. EGPAF President and CEO, Chip Lyons was an honored guest at the event, whose guest list featured a list of notable researchers, policymakers, advocates, and leaders in the global fight for an AIDS-free future.
