Partnership for Data—and Beyond
At EGPAF, we use data compiled from more than 5,000 sites to make informed decisions about the lifesaving services we provide, and to make progress toward achieving an AIDS-free generation.
But managing that data across sites in 19 countries can be complicated. That is especially true when those sites collect data which may be written in multiple languages, or tracked on paper, or via different types of computer programs. Recognizing a challenge in our data collection processes, we began a partnership with Denny Cherry & Associates Consulting (DCAC).
Together, our Strategic Information & Evaluation team worked with DCAC to build a data warehouse to better analyze and communicate all of the information collected at EGPAF’s sites.
This database enables the rapid transfer of medical information to efficiently support HIV prevention, diagnosis, and treatment services for pregnant mothers, children, and families. And simultaneously, it allows us to provide donors with high quality business intelligence and analytics so they can see the positive impact of their funds.
The data warehouse that DCAC created will allow EGPAF access to clean, trustworthy, clear data, that will improve faster access to healthcare services and improve medical outcomes for the families we support. DCAC’s database for EGPAF has already garnered multiple accolades at the American Business Awards, including 2019 Technical Innovation of the Year!
And DCAC is more than just a technical partner supporting our work to end AIDS in children – they’re also a donor! For the second year in a row, DCAC is raising funds for EGPAF during the holiday season.
