On a breezy Thursday afternoon in Washington, members of Congress hosted a press conference with the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and our friends at mothers2mothers for a special commemoration of Mother’s Day.

The event on Capitol Hill announced a House resolution in support of global efforts to end new HIV infections in children and keep their mothers alive. Read more about the event and check out photos and quotes after the jump.
