In Lesotho, a nation with the third highest HIV prevalence in the world, World AIDS Day was more like World AIDS Week. Prior to the national event on December 1, the Foundation, along with the District Health Team, spent a week conducting activities around the country to build awareness about HIV/AIDS.
The national World AIDS Day celebration, held in Maseru, the nation's capital city, hosted a large crowd, including the king and queen, and other government dignitaries.
Tony Isavwa, the Foundation's Performance Management and Health Systems Strengthening Director in Lesotho, was on hand to document the day's activities. Click past the jump to read more.
