Certified Magazine Celebrates EGPAF Excellence

Monitoring war zones and managing thousands of HIV care and treatment sites - not your standard human resources work, unless you're at EGPAF.

With 5,300 sites in 15 countries and 900 employees who are mostly in the field, the human resources experts at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation manage our work to eliminate pediatric HIV/AIDS every single day – negotiating everything from payroll to healthcare, scheduling international flights, and yes, monitoring war zones. This winter, they were recognized for their work in a cover story in “Certified” magazine, the official publication of the Human Resources Certification Institute (HCRI).

Chrissie Shea is associate director of human resources for the Foundation, and she said that the article was prompted by HCRI’s interest in the Foundation’s work.  She added that she was most excited to see more attention focused on the Foundation’s activities around the world as we work to help mothers and families. Andrew Moir, international director of human resources for the Foundation, agreed. “I think the reason why we are excited by the article is that it recognizes and validates the important contribution that our global HR team makes towards the success of our country programs.”

Congratulations to the entire human resources team on their well-deserved recognition.
