It’s not every day we get to see one of our Foundation supporters gracing the cover of a magazine. That’s why we were thrilled when pediatric AIDS advocate and Foundation Ambassador Ramona Belfiore appeared on the cover of Drew University’s Winter edition of
Drew Magazine.
Ramona, a senior at Drew, has been involved with the Foundation for years. As a
Foundation Ambassador, she travels around the country introducing new audiences to our global work to create a generation free of HIV, and inviting them to hear her moving personal story.
Born in Romania, Ramona lived in an orphanage before Bill and Susan Belfiore adopted her and three other HIV-positive orphans, taking them to United States to grow up as a family. Today, Ramona and her siblings – Ionel, Mihaela, Loredana, and their youngest brother Aidan – are healthy, happy young adults, enjoying life, going to school, and becoming courageous voices in the fight to end pediatric AIDS.
Ramona is an incredible woman. Beyond her impressive advocacy work and involvement in the HIV/AIDS community, she is studying hard at Drew and will soon graduate with the goal to become a professor and teach poetry.
We’re proud to call her a supporter of the Foundation and know that this is the first of many cover stories for her. Way to go, Ramona!
