8/20/2008
Gloria Reuben and Pam Barnes were featured on National Public Radio’s News & Notes on Tuesday, October 21, speaking about the Foundation’s history and programs, and their recent visit to Foundation-supported sites in South Africa.
From August 13 through 16, Foundation Celebrity Ambassador Gloria Reuben traveled to South Africa with Foundation President and CEO Pam Barnes. They visited two Foundation-supported health centers, where they met with pregnant mothers, babies, and health professionals, witnessing how the Foundation's programs are helping children and families live healthy lives.
"Spending time with the Foundation in South Africa has been nothing short of amazing," said Gloria, who is known for her role as a health care professional who battled HIV/AIDS in the hit NBC series ER. "Being a part of such a force is humbling and I will continue to do my level best to be the best advocate for women and children that I can be." Read more about Gloria's visit to South Africa.
