Ask Congress to Make a Mother's Fight Their Fight

This year, in conjunction with Mother's Day, we are asking members of Congress to demonstrate their commitment to the elimination of pediatric AIDS through their support of H.CON.RES.123: Recognizing the potential for the virtual elimination of pediatric HIV and AIDS and keeping HIV positive mothers alive. 1,000 children around the world contract HIV each day, mostly through mother-to-child transmission of HIV. Today, however, because of advanced medicines and technology, this transmission is 100 percent preventable. You can help by emailing members of Congress and encouraging them to make a mother's fight their fight. Contact Congress today!

Ask Congress to Support Strong Funding for Global HIV/AIDS Programs

Lawmakers face many tough budget choices this year, but continuing to fund global HIV/AIDS programs should be an easy one. U.S.-funded initiatives have enabled huge successes in the fight against HIV and AIDS, with new infections on the decline for the first time since the epidemic began. These programs have saved 2.5 million lives by introducing antiretroviral therapy in low- and middle-income countries, and prevention programs have helped to avert millions of new HIV infections around the world.

We are at a crucial moment in the effort to create an AIDS-free generation, and we need to keep the momentum going. Please tell your Senators and Representatives to keep Congress committed to this fight and oppose cuts to global health programs. Contact Congress today!
