2009 Ireland - Walk or Ride Ireland, 8/9/2009 — 8/15/2009

For the first time, For A Cause will combine walking and cycling under one roof! Walkers and riders will gather in Ireland for an unforgettable experience.

This seven-day event includes five full days of walking or riding through the central-western part of Ireland. Riders, walkers, and crewmembers will gather in the picturesque town of Galway, easily reachable by train from Dublin. From there you will be transferred to our Country Manor Home, where your adventure will begin.

The Ireland event is limited to 34 participants — 15 riders, 15 walkers, and 4 crewmembers. Every day you will ride or walk to exciting medieval towns, and every night you will experience home-cooked Irish meals before you retire to your room and sleep on a comfortable bed. No tents on this ride/walk!

The beneficiaries for the 2009 Ireland Walk or Ride event include: the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation; the Breast Cancer Network of Strength, Illinois; and For A Cause. Also, riders can designate an additional beneficiary to receive their donation or designate the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation as their charity of choice.
