John Ditekemena, MD, MPH

Dr. John Ditekemena is the country director for EGPAF in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). In his role, he oversees EGPAF’s presence in DRC, leading programmatic and operational activities. Dr. Ditekemena joined EGPAF in 2009 as a prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV (PMTCT) specialist, managing the implementation of PMTCT activities in four provinces in DRC. Prior to his tenure at EGPAF, Dr. Ditekemena worked as a PMTCT project manager at the Kinshasa School of Public Health, where he oversaw PMTCT services and conducted national and provincial technical trainings. Dr. Ditekemena received his degree in medicine from the University of Kinshasa, and his master’s degree in public health from the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium.
