Mary Pat Kieffer

Director, Technical Leadership Development

Mary Pat Kieffer leads EGPAF’s strategic implementation of prevention services in the countries where it works. She works with staff around the world to establish effective models of PMTCT service delivery, and helps country offices expand their expertise and implementation of services. Prior to managing global prevention operations, Kieffer was the country director for EGPAF’s programs in Lesotho and Swaziland. Earlier, she worked for more than five years for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/East Africa, where she held multiple positions including regional PMTCT advisor, regional HIV/AIDS coordinator, and deputy director and senior technical advisor for the USAID/East Africa PMTCT and pediatric AIDS programs. Kieffer received her master’s degree in population and international health from the Harvard School of Public Health.
